We were at the bar in Gertrude's restaurant in the Art Gallery in Baltimore USA. The gallery is a small, but very modern and sophisticated gallery, located near Johns Hopkins University on Charles Street. The woman playing the keyboard was very experienced and relaxed, and her music was jazz.
The clarinet player was shy and reserved, and lost in his music. He was interested in talking about the older jazz music that my partner knew about. His face became animated then.
